Lissa, a competent and skilled dopemage in her own right, encounters a young man named Dane, who has just recently discovered his abilities. While Gage and Lissa search for the thieves, Dane must learn to weigh the allure of power his abilities promise with the potentially deadly consequences of their misuse.
