He leaned forward and kissed her, swiping his tongue across her lower lip until she opened for him. Potent, divine. Before it got too heated, he pulled back and quirked an eyebrow.

  “Ready for that tattoo?”

She nodded. He took her hand and led her to his bike. She slipped on the helmet he held out and a moment later they took off in the night.

  Chapter Seventeen

When Adira stepped into the tattoo parlor, Treat smiled.

“Hey, you! I see you finally found a lover.”

  “That I did. Two, actually.”

“Good for you.” Treat nodded politely to Hunter. “Gonna get the heart tattoo?”

“No,” she replied. She walked over and grabbed the design book, flipping it to a symbol she remembered seeing. “I saw this when I was last here. Zibu angelic language. This one here means family.”

Adira settled on putting a decorative symbol on the inside of her left wrist. The swirling lines appealed to her, especially in the wake of her own discovery. Treat prepped her, wiping it down with alcohol. Then she put on a pair of black nitrile gloves and turned the tattoo gun on. The buzzing sound almost drowned out her nerves, and she tensed as the needle entered her shin. Hunter held her other hand but before she could even get scared, it was over.

  “Done,” Treat said.

Adira blinked and looked down, seeing the beautiful design offset from the center of the wrist, and she couldn’t stop looking at it.

  “Do you like?” Treat asked.

“I love it,” she replied softly, hard to believe she got a tattoo. Her father would be so upset, which made her love it even more.

After it was wrapped and she had paid, Hunter led her back to his bike and they took off toward the large two-story house. The name Belladonna was painted above the door. Working around strippers was one thing. Stepping into a brothel was something completely different. Red was the theme, with scarlet walls and drapes. Velvet love seats and chaise lounges were artfully arranged. The low lighting gave everything an intimate appeal. Women in barely-there clothes draped themselves provocatively around the paying customers. Majority of the clientele were men, but there were also a few women.

Hunter led her through a door marked EMPLOYEES ONLY. Several doors lined the hallway, and he unlocked one, stepping back so she could enter. It was the typical office except along one wall was nothing but flat screens watching over various areas of the house. The lounge, the upstairs, a kitchen she hadn’t seen, even inside the bedrooms.

“This is high tech for a red-light house.”

“In here, maybe. Out there is still redneck.”

A grin lifted one corner of her lips. “That’s what Ares said of The Pussy Willow.”

“There’s a fine line between not being too fancy for the clientele but able to provide protection to the girls.”

In a few monitors, couples writhed on beds, and she couldn’t seem to look away. Never had she ever thought she’d be a voyeur, but she had to be honest with herself. It turned her on. Hunter stepped up behind her and rested his hands on her hips.

“Lean over the table,” he murmured in her ear.

  She jerked a little. “What?”

  “Lean. Over.”

He gently placed her hands on the tabletop, and then pushed her down. Running his hands down her back, over her hips, to the front where he popped the button on her jeans.

  “W-what are you doing?”

  “Shh,” he said. “Keep watching.”

Doing as he ordered, her breath grew shallow as he slipped his hand under the elastic of her panties. “Oh, baby girl, you’re so fucking wet.”

He rubbed over her slit, gathering her moisture to rub little circles over her clit. She moaned and her hips jerked up, seeking more.

“Want me to fuck you? Right here, as you watch the couples fuck on the monitors?”

Her eyes rolled back as pleasure burst through her body. She opened her legs a little wider, and he abruptly yanked his hand out. It brought her out of the euphoria.

  “Wait,” she cried out.

“Answer me, Adira. Do you want me to fuck you right here? Right now?”

  “Yes,” she gasped. “Please. Yes.”

He pulled back and then yanked down her pants and panties, helping her step out of one leg and then the other. The zipper sounded extremely loud in the room.

“Lay your hands on the desk and don’t move,” he ordered.

She quickly obeyed. Hunter kicked her feet out, widening her stance. He placed one hand on her lower back, bent a little, and then pressed against her. His cockhead brushed her slit, and oh God, she was ready.

The only thought she had was about having him inside her. Fire ignited in her blood when his dick rubbed against her. Up, down, getting itself nice and wet with her slickness, teasing her as if he knew exactly what she wanted but was deliberately making her wait. Adira rocked backward, pushing against him, and he pulled back to give her bottom a little swat.

  “Not so fast, baby girl.”

He stroked her again with his fingers and found the erect nub of her clit, lightly flicking his fingertip against it. A little whimper slipped from her lips, and she wiggled her hips with desperate need.

“Please,” she begged, her voice raspy.

  “Please, what?”

  “Please, I need you.”

His hand slid between her bottom cheeks, and he brushed over her back hole. She tensed, not sure if she liked what he was doing, but that combined with him still caressing her front almost sent her tumbling into bliss.

“Uh-uh,” he murmured. “You have to say the magic words, Adira. Tell me to fuck you.”

“Fuck me, oh God, fuck me now.”

“That’s right, I am your god.”

That was all the urging he needed. He gripped her hips with one hand and with a forceful jerk of his hips buried himself into her channel. Adira moaned, awash with pleasure. He pulled back and slammed home again, over and over. Pumping into her harder until wet smacking sounds mingled with her moans. He consumed her, like some savage, primitive creature. Fucking with no thought beyond the ecstasy of it all. Her excitement mounted with each thrust, and then…

A brief perfect moment of timelessness, suspended in that space between Heaven and reality. Weightless. Sublime. Exhilarating. Hunter’s cry of completion echoed through the room, mixing with her own cries. Then he slumped over her, resting his forehead on her back. She felt his heart racing, mimicking hers.

She knew in that instant that her heart was in trouble.

The next week went by quickly, and she used the excuse of being busy as to not linger around Ares. He’d come kiss her hello, but she always managed to slip away before it led to something more. She had to, because she was getting in too deep. She had to protect her heart because this wasn’t about sleeping with two men. It wasn’t about how they made her body sing with desire. This was about her catching feelings, and it was far too quick to put a label on any of it.

When Friday rolled around, she had to clear her head so she went for a long drive until she found a beautiful lake dotted with whitecaps and men fishing in small boats. She slowed and then pulled onto the rocky parking lot. The brown National Park placard stated it was Cardinal Lake. Adira got out and walked to the shore where she pulled off her sneakers and socks to bury her toes in the frigid water. Fall was approaching, bringing with it cooler temperatures.

Hunter and Ares consumed her thoughts. If she continued on the path she walked, she was going to fall for them. She wasn’t sure if her heart could take another beating. Losing her parents hurt worse than losing Abel, but she had a sneaking suspicion that losing the two MC brothers would devastate her. The smart thing to do would be to leave. To quit and move on until she found another place to settle. Perhaps she had been naïve thinking she’d be able to continue working for Ares once their liaison was finished, because now she realized she could never see them with other women. It would break her in ways she couldn’t even imagine.

But maybe she wasn’t as smart as she thought she was, because she didn’t want to leave. She wanted the memories. Once they tired of her and moved on, she would need all of them to sustain her. Even with the acceptance she would face pain once more, she knew she was going to stay.

With that resolve, she left Cardinal Lake behind. The water carried away her misgivings.

  Chapter Eighteen

Vivi held up her arms where the robe completely covered her hands. “This is ridiculous.”

“Were you dropped on your head as a baby?” Sidonie asked. “Maybe that stunted your growth. You know, like a hammer on a nail, just boop. Short.”

“I’d flip you off but I can’t find my fingers,” Vivi replied, frowning.

“You can take the robe off, you know,” Chase reminded her.

“But then I’d be naked. Look, I love you guys as the sisters I never had, but I’m not ready to show you the tits, the pits, and the bits.”

“I’m just happy to relax without the baby crying every five minutes,” Leia said. She was relaxing on a chaise lounge with a cooled gel pack over her eyes.

“You’re lucky you have an experienced babysitter,” Chase murmured.

Leia lifted one corner of the mask to eye her. “You and Thorn having any?”

“I don’t know. I don’t think so. We like our lives the way they are right now.”

“Lincoln and I got two and a half years left before we start baby making,” Vivi announced.

“You should let him practice changing diapers so he’ll have experience.”

“Do you know how to change a diaper?” Leia asked.

Vivi blinked. “Now that I think about it, no. How hard could it be?”

Leia smirked. “Not hard at all. Next time Leo has a blowout I’ll call you.”

She replaced the mask and went back to relaxing. They were waiting for their names to be called by their scheduled masseuse.

“What about you, Sid?” Chase asked.

“One step at a time. I can’t think about anything except the upcoming wedding. It’ll be nice to see Odette again.”

  “Who’s Odette?” Adira asked.

  “My dead grandmother.”

Adira chuckled, but when none of the others did, her humor faded. “Wait. Is that some type of euphemism?”

Sidonie shook her head. “You don’t know about us?”

Adira looked at each of them. “About what?”

Chase looked around and pitched her voice low. “We’re the supernatural club.”

  “Supernatural?” Adira said skeptically.

Leia pulled off her mask. “Each one of us has a unique gift. I can see the shadow of death.”

“I have premonitions of me and Thorn.”

“I can calm people with a touch,” Vivi said, holding up the handless sleeves of her robe. “We stopped a bad guy once. It was a group effort.”

Adira waited for the punch line, but none seemed forthcoming. “You’re kidding, right?”

The others stared back at her. “You’re not kidding, are you?”

  Vivi shook her head.

Adira looked at Sidonie. “Are you a ghost whisperer or something?”

Sidonie shook her head. “My grandmother was a hoodoo practitioner, and stuck us in a time loop in order to save my life.”

“I, uh … yeah, I got nothing.” Her eyes widened. “We’re not in one now, are we?”

“Nah,” Sidonie said with a wave of her hand. “But you can meet Odette at the wedding.”

“Oh, super.” Her tone suggested anything but. “Do Hunter and Ares have a gift?”

“Not that we’re aware of,” Vivi replied. “Do you have one? I’ve been thinking about which superpower would be cool. Telepathy. Telekinesis. Teleportation. Teletubbies. Ever notice there are a lot of teles?”

  Everyone ignored the question.

“No,” Adira replied. “I’m just normal. No supernatural powers. Sorry.”

“You’ve bagged Ares and Hunter,” Vivi mused. “Maybe you have a super pussy.”

They looked at Vivi, and it said something that no one even blinked at her words.

Five masseuses stepped into the doorway and one by one, called their names. Adira went into the massage not sure what to think about her new friends.

After the club closed on Thursday night, Ares led her to the bar where he grabbed two glasses. In one, he mixed cola and rum and handed it to her. The other he poured himself a shot of whiskey. Then he maneuvered her to stand between her thighs.

“I don’t like waiting till Friday to get you in bed. How about we modify that?”

Adira grinned and took a sip. “Oh?”

He encircled her slim waist with an arm and downed his drink. “How about you come stay with us?”

She arched an eyebrow. “What nights?”

  “All nights.”

Her humor melted away. “Uh, I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

  He frowned. “Why?”

“Because when you and Hunter move on, I’ll have to disrupt Livia’s life again by asking to move back into the spare room.”

“What makes you think we’re going to move on?”

  “Because I’m not stupid.”

He took a deep breath, staring at her. “You don’t think Hunter and I can commit?”

“No, that’s not what I said.” She chose her next words with care since she didn’t want to say the wrong thing and self-sabotage her time with him. “I’m simply pointing out that you both are surrounded by temptation and one day you’re going to find another woman you’ll want to have as a plaything.”

He blinked at her, incredulity blanketing his face. “Did you just hear what you said?”

She tilted her head, arching a brow.

“Sweetheart, you are the beautiful woman we want as a plaything.”

She studied his eyes, at the sincerity behind the words. Maybe she was foolish, but she wanted to believe that he and Hunter felt something for her. Even though, in the back of her mind, she knew one day she’d have to move on. She slipped her arms around his neck to hug.

“How about Friday and Saturday nights?”

He pulled back and studied her. “Okay. For now.”

  Chapter Nineteen

Adira arrived at the clubhouse and surprise, surprise, another party was going on. By now, the older club members who chose to sit out by the bonfires waved at her, and she waved back. As she stepped inside, she had to maneuver around bodies until she found Ares. He held out his hand to her and when she placed hers in his, he pulled her in for a deep kiss.

He linked their fingers and led her to the stairs, shooting a quick text to Hunter. Once inside the bedroom, she dropped her overnight bag into a corner and wrapped her arms around his neck as he leaned in for a kiss. When his tongue swept into her mouth, the door opened and closed. The sound of the lock engaging was the last thing she heard before her pounding heartbeat obliterated any sound.

The two men stripped her, and her clothes fell in a puddle at her feet. Hunter ran his fingers gently through her pale hair, pushing off one shoulder so he could kiss the back of her neck. Ares cupped her breasts, teasing the nipples by pinching them, making a sweet ache rise between her thighs.

Hunter ran one hand over the curve of her bottom, down the back of her thighs and then up between them, to touch her intimately. She gasped as his thumb circled her clit, dragging his fingers along her slit. Feathery strokes that heated her blood. It was torture, heavenly torture.

“Feel how wet she is, Ares.”

Ares teased down her stomach to dive into her warmth.

“I want to fuck this pussy, Adira,” he murmured. “Would you like that? Would you like my cock buried in your tight little cunt while Hunter takes your last virginity?”

  “What?” she breathed.

“Your ass, baby girl,” Hunter whispered in her ear.

  She panted at the image.

  “Will it hurt?” she asked.

“It’ll burn, but in such a good way,” he told her. “All you have to do is relax and trust us.”

Ares dropped to his knees to throw her leg over his shoulder. Giving him access as he ran his tongue over her sensitive pussy. Pushing inside and hitting a spot that had her eyes rolling back into her head. Driving her out of her mind.

Behind her, Hunter pushed his thumb into her back hole. She tensed but Hunter gently nipped her earlobe just as Ares sucked her clit into his mouth, both sensations managing to distract her. Before she even realized what was happening, her body exploded into a thousand pieces, shattering her strength. Stars bloomed behind her eyes and she dimly felt the men lift her up. Ares settled on the bed, his legs spread, and Hunter helped her sit on his lap, straddling him. She opened her eyes and locked gazes with him as he lifted her hips and brought her down onto his cock.

He began to slowly move her hips, showing her how to ride him. A rustling came from behind and a moment later, a finger pushed past the tight ring in her ass. When she got used to that, another finger plunged into her. Some distant part of her mind knew Hunter was preparing her, opening her up for his penetration, and Adira wasn’t sure if she liked the feeling.

  “Oh!” she groaned. “It burns!”

“Relax, baby girl,” Hunter urged. “I have to stretch you because I don’t want to hurt you. Yes, that’s right, relax. Trust me.”

Sandwiched between both men, Ares claimed her lips, sending a shiver of excitement rippling through her as she rode him. Hunter pushed her down then gripped her hips as he slowly teased her back hole with the tip of his cock. Ares reached between them to rub her clit as Hunter worked his way into her tight ass.

The burning returned and Adira held her breath, not sure if she was enjoying it. But just as she thought she wanted to stop, Ares pulled back a little to give Hunter more room. He sank all the way, and Adira gasped, unable to believe the feeling of being totally consumed. She had thought being filled with just Ares was amazing, but this was beyond words. Beyond anything she had imagined.

Hunter’s breath tickled the back of her neck as he held her hips still.
